fb-exteriorLandscape_resize1

Twice as Nice Comedy is proud to join forces with Finborough Arms in Earls Court to put on another stand-up comedy night in their atmospheric cellar bar will offer top name comics and circuit regulars. Recommended by The Metro and by Guardian Guide.

 Acts on the night:

Mark Dolan: comedian, writer and TV presenter. Host of the iconic Channel 4 comedy show Balls of Steel, which still airs nightly on 4 Music. Mark launched bothE4 and More 4 respectively as host of the comedy show Show Me The Funny and as anchor of the late night topical talk show The Last Word. He also just completed a five year stint as host of Sky’s flagship movie show 35mm. His first big break came in 2000 when he starred in and co-wrote The Richard Taylor Interviews, the hidden camera job interview show for C4. In the same year, Mark reached the final of the C4 live stand-up competition So You Think You’re Funny. Mark will be fronting a new!
series in the autumn for E4 entitled the Comedy Summit, in which he celebrates iconic television through the decades.
‘Fantastic’ **** (Metro).

Ian Smith: Ian Smith is an award-winning stand-up comedian, actor and writer. Originally from Goole, East Yorkshire, Ian is now based in London and has been gigging at the biggest clubs in the UK for the past 4 years – at only 25 he has developed a reputation as one of the most exciting young acts on the circuit, with his conversational, energetic style and talent for improvisation.
“Fantastically funny” – The Times
“Delightfully offbeat writing. A talent for sure” – Chortle
“A real sparky presence onstage… ebullient and witty” –Londonisfunny.com
“Star of the future” – Time Out

Shazia Mirza: “Her laconic one-liners represent something quite unique in modern comedy. In these fraught times, she actually manages to make being a Muslim woman seem wonderfully life-enhancingly funny. Anglo-Islamic understanding is now even more elusive than before, but if anything, that makes Shazia’s comedy even more vailid, and even more vital” GUARDIAN GUIDE

MC Sam Deards: “Disconcertingly brilliant!” Mark Dolan TV’s Balls of Steel
